Day of Hope #112
Wednesday April 13 – Day of Hope #112
Goal: Continue my healing journey
Quote: “Healing takes time, and asking for help is a courageous step.” – Mariska Hargitay
Today's Day of Hope was dedicated to something I've learned is just as important as physical health, emotional healing.
I took the day off work, slept in, and enjoyed a slow, peaceful morning. After a warm shower, I made myself one of my favorite healthy breakfasts: overnight oats topped with fresh berries, sliced almonds, and almond milk. It was the perfect way to begin a day focused on caring for myself from the inside out.
My first stop was All Is Well for another healing session with Dominique. Every month I leave feeling lighter than when I arrived. As I've shared before, I truly believe Dominique came into my life for a reason. I lovingly call her my Angel of Balance because every session seems to help me find a little more peace, a little more clarity, and a little more alignment.
One part really stood out to me. She spoke about my hands and fingers and the important role they play in my healing journey.
That immediately made me think about another practice I've committed to recently.
For the past two weeks, I've been working through a 21-Day Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping program. At first, I wasn't sure what to expect. But day by day, something began to shift.
Using my fingertips to gently tap specific pressure points while working through emotions has helped me process anger, practice forgiveness, release emotional pain, and even ease physical tension I had been carrying for years.
I had just completed Day 14, and I honestly felt different. Lighter, calmer, and more hopeful. It's amazing how something so simple can create such meaningful change when you're willing to stay consistent.
The rest of the afternoon was just what my soul needed.
I caught up on several episodes of This Is Us, a television series that has touched my heart in so many ways. It has a beautiful way of reminding us that every person has a story, every family carries both joy and pain, and healing often comes through love and understanding.
For dinner, I kept it simple with a bowl of popcorn while watching Hallmark movies. It was the perfect way to unwind before ending the evening with another warm bath and a final tapping session before bed.
As I reflected on the day, I realized healing doesn't usually happen in one dramatic breakthrough.
It happens quietly:
One session
One conversation
One journal page
One tap
One breath
Over time, those small moments begin to transform your life.
My Lesson of Hope: Healing is built one small step at a time. Every choice we make to care for our mind, body, and spirit creates space for hope to grow. We don't have to heal all at once, we simply have to keep showing up for ourselves, one hopeful day at a time.
