Day of Hope #114

Monday June 13 – Day of Hope #114

Goal: Invest in my dream of becoming an author

Quote: “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” – Robert Collier

Today's Day of Hope was quiet, productive, and completely aligned with my vision for the future.

I had the house all to myself, and there was nowhere I needed to be. No appointments. No errands. Just uninterrupted time to work on something that has become one of the biggest dreams of my life, my book.

I spent the day immersed in an online writing masterclass taught by Gabrielle Bernstein on How to Write a Bestselling Book. Every lesson felt like another piece of the puzzle falling into place. It was one of those experiences where I found myself thinking, "I wish I had known all of this before I submitted my manuscript to my first publisher."

But then I caught myself. Everything happens for a reason. Had I waited until I felt "ready," I might still be waiting. Instead, I had the courage to write the book, finish it, and send it into the world. That first publisher gave me valuable feedback, and now I have the opportunity to make the manuscript even stronger. Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing.

I'm realizing that writing a book isn't a single event—it's a process.

One draft
One revision
One lesson
One chapter at a time

During the class, I began working on my book proposal, something I now understand is just as important as writing the manuscript itself. I also continued organizing all of my Day of Hope stories, getting them typed into the computer and preparing them to become part of the book.

As I worked, another exciting thought came to me. These stories won't just live in the pages of a book. One day, they'll become YouTube videos, allowing me to share hope in an entirely different way. That realization filled me with excitement.

Everything I'm creating is beginning to connect.

The book
The stories
The videos
The dream

They're all pieces of something much bigger than I imagined when I started taking one Day of Hope each month years ago. By the end of the day, I hadn't traveled anywhere or crossed anything dramatic off a bucket list. But I had invested in something far more valuable. I invested in my future.

And there is no better investment than believing in the dream the universe has placed on your heart.

My Lesson of Hope: Dreams aren't built in a single day, they're built one intentional step at a time. Every lesson you learn, every revision you make, and every hour you invest brings you one step closer to the life you're creating. Keep learning. Keep growing. Most importantly... keep believing in yourself.
