Day of Hope #98
Saturday February 13 – Day of Hope #98
Goal: Create some balance in all the chaos of life
Quote: “Balance is giving your soul, body, and dreams room to breathe.” – Kayla Jones
On this Day of Hope, I stayed at the Homewood Suites Hotel. I spent the morning working on my book before treating myself to a little self-care. A haircut and color, plus fresh gel nails. Such a simple thing, but it left me feeling refreshed and renewed. After grabbing lunch with a friend, I dedicated the afternoon to diving into B-School by Marie Forleo.
If you’re not familiar with it, B-School is the gold standard for online training for entrepreneurs and values-driven creatives. It’s a step-by-step program designed to help build a meaningful, profitable business. I couldn’t believe how much I learned and how inspired I felt. Sitting there, imagining myself as a future business owner, it all felt so real. This course has given me the tools and confidence to get there, and it’s exciting to think about what’s possible. You can check it out at marieforleo.com/bschool. I also enjoyed the snow and some puzzle time.
Bonus
I also want to share something special I did this month for my soul. For years I had wanted to try Reiki energy healing, and I finally did. I went to see an amazing woman named Dominique at All is Well in Boise. As I write this in 2025, I still see her regularly. She has become my angel of balance.
When I first started, Dominique knew nothing about me. Not my book, not my business ideas, not my dreams. I intentionally kept it that way for the first year. I wanted to experience Reiki without influence, to see if it truly resonated with me and helped me feel centered. And it did.
Here’s how it worked: she guided me through the healing session and then emailed me a detailed write-up afterward. At that time, I was just beginning to form the foundation for Hope’s Highways, brainstorming ideas, sketching out a website, writing my book, and dreaming of a future where all of it would come alive.
Here is what my first session looked like.
February 2021
Jin Shin Jyutsu – Reversing and Increasing of 3rd Depth, with additional Reiki energy flow.
In the beginning she saw a flurry of images that she could not recognize or slow down.
(Most likely because I was stressed to the max. HA!)
Then she saw an image of a large tree in the center of a green lawn or pasture.
(My centering tree is the Willow Tree).
She then saw a wadded-up piece of paper at my root with words all over it. My higher self then showed up and was stressed about the paper and told her to get it out and burn it. So, she did. As the paper was burning my higher self-had become emotional. It was released. Then there was healing light added to the empty spot and everything straightened up and there was good flow everywhere.
(My analysis is that the burning paper symbolized my past life ending and a new one beginning. That was very powerful for me at the time).
You also get questions answered from my light crew that show up. Here is what they said at this appointment.
Kayla’s guidance is on spot. Kayla did well by listening. She’s got ‘the gift’. Another thing to share with her is the truth of what is in her life. It is true she sees light and other things. It is true Kayla knows something bigger. It is true she feels in a different, misunderstood way. We understand Kayla because we are her-beings of light brought to this earth for existence, among others. To teach and say so others may learn a different way of being. Kayla is the light. That’s all there is to it. Is she ready for the ride? Because it’s going to be a big one. Tell Kayla to ease into it. So, Kayla, are you ready?
We could also see the challenges Kayla has faced. Her body held those patterns, especially at her root. She was ready to let go, which is evidenced by her higher self-attending the session. It is with excitement that we present to you…..Kayla!
That first Reiki session gave me the reassurance I didn’t even know I needed: I was on the right track. It was a powerful confirmation that I wasn’t just dreaming, I was building.
You can find out more about All is Well on her website alliswellboise.com.
I’ll share more snippets from future sessions in the months ahead, because each one has been a wonderful reminder of alignment, hope, and growth.
My lesson of hope: I have come to agree that true balance is choosing what matters most, not doing it all. Balance is where peace and purpose meet.
