Day of Hope #99
Saturday March 13 – Day of Hope #99
Goal: Edit, Write, Edit, Write…….

This month I checked into the Townhouse Suites by Edwards Movie Theater in Boise, Idaho, to spend another Day of Hope working on my book. My focus was compiling all the edits I’ve received from friends and family who read the draft.
Earlier in March, the same group from my January book circle (plus a few extras) gathered again to share their feedback. My sister couldn’t make it in person, but she sent her edits by text, still showing up for me in her own way.
I set up camp at the hotel, determined to weave all their edits into the next draft. My goal is to head to Utah at the end of March with a fresh version ready for everyone to review. On top of that, I need to add another 20,000 words to hit the minimum word count. Thank goodness for my Days of Hope, giving me this sacred space to chase my dream.
My lesson of hope: Writing a book is both exhausting and exhilarating. Some days it feels like a mountain, but I loved the climb. Instead of focusing on how much is left to do, I keep reminding myself of Marie Forleo’s words: “Progress, not perfection.” I remind myself, one step at a time. Forward only. No looking back. No more rearview mirror.
